• About me

Hello! I’m Emily and it’s so great to have you here!

Before we get down to how I can help you, you probably want to know more about me.....

I’m a qualified personal trainer with a BSc in Sports Science and nutrition. I’ve been working in the health and nutrition space for over 15 years so I have a wealth of experience and knowledge.

I'm Mum to Isla (6) and Noah (4), who keep my husband and I on our toes. My family drives everything I do.

I, like most, have had a variety of experiences that have helped shape who I am and that have led me to this place. I'm sharing parts of these with you to give you a sense of who I am and to help you decide whether I'm the right person to support your next chapter.

As a teen I was very overweight, I found a love for fitness and achieved the weight loss I’d been looking for, however this came with it’s own challenges, a number of body image issues and lots of research to help me understand my body, my mind and what I was really searching for.

I’ve experienced and still do experience anxiety, it’s something I’m always working on and something that doesn’t have to be a negative trait.

My husband and I spent eight years living in Australia before recently returning to the UK, a chapter filled with incredible memories, moments of joy, and its fair share of challenges and uncertainty.

While there, we had 2 beautiful children but again this wasn’t easy.

Before my daughter was born, I experienced two miscarriages. Her pregnancy came with further complications; placental issues led to growth restrictions and an early delivery at 37 weeks, followed by time in NICU. Two years later, I faced a similar experience with my son, which also brought on postnatal depression. These chapters were deeply challenging, but they’ve profoundly shaped my perspective and the way I support others today.

Throw in COVID, being away from family in England and all the other trials and tribulations a family brings and here we are. All of this has shaped me and led me to create this business so I can help and support others - this is what’s brought me to YOU!

I know how hard it can be to feel alone, stagnant, lost and unsure but I want you to know there is a way through it. It’s all about small Consistent steps – moving forward day by day NOT about huge life changes that can knock you for six. I’ve done and am still doing this and I want to support you to feel yourself again.

  • Why I Chose the Name Yellow Rose Wellness

Yellow Rose Wellness is named first and foremost in honour of my late Nanny Masie, whose favourite flower was the yellow rose. Her love for them has always stayed with me, a symbol of warmth, kindness, and the gentle strength she carried.

I also chose the name for its deeper meaning. Yellow roses are known as the flower of friendship, their bright colour evoking happiness, optimism, and emotional support. Often called “sunshine for the soul,” they’re linked to the solar plexus chakra, which governs confidence and personal power, qualities I hope to nurture in every woman who joins this journey.

Yellow rose essential oil is used to support lucid dreaming, mindfulness, and emotional release. To me, they represent hope, healing, and fresh starts, making them the perfect emblem for wellness milestones. Their radiant hue encourages joy, compassion, and empathy, which are the foundations of emotional wellbeing and the heart of everything I do.
